Growing the Distance Summer Camp & “Precious Baby You’re Mine”

This week, I got to read my children’s book, “Precious Baby You’re Mine”, to the girls of Growing the Distance Summer Camp in High Point, NC. It was a great pleasure meeting these young girls. They had many questions to ask. They had been researching me prior to my arrival, and was very interested to know about #FindingPrecious and my search for my biological family! One little girl was even adopted and asked if she could find her parents one day. “Anything can happen as long as you put your mind to it”, was my reply to her. We talked about why I wrote the book, why I picked my illustrator to work with, how I financed my book, and what I hope the book would accomplish to those that read it. We talked about our dreams and the importance of having a strong support system. We laughed, we joked, and we hugged! Nothing but positivity was in the room. Each little girl was able to receive a free copy of “Precious Baby You’re Mine”! Special shout out to Sherena Sabla for inviting me to this wonderful camp. I had a fabulous time!
